Zinc- Aluminum- Magnesium coated steel is a highly corrosion-resistant hot-dip coated steel that has a coating layer of zinc, 6% aluminum and 3% magnesium.
1. Superior corrosion resistance
In terms of corrosion resistance, zinc- aluminum- magnesium coated steel is 10 times better than hot dip zinc coated steel.
Excellent corrosion resistance is achieved on cut edge of zinc- aluminum- magnesium coated steel with a fine zinc -base protective film that contains AL and Mg leaching from the coating layer.
2. Superior press form-ability
With a harder and smoother coating layer than hot-dip zinc coated steel, zinc- aluminum- magnesium coated steel shows excellent press form-ability contributing to higher productivity.
3. Cost reduction through eliminating post hot-dip galvanizing process
Cost reduction by post hot-dip galvanizing /post painting process omission
