After the installation of the solar energy system, the user is most concerned about the power generation. Because it is directly related to the user's return on investment. There are many factors affecting the power generation, such as solar modules, inverters, cable quality, installation orientation, tilt angle, dust, shadow, line design, grid voltage, etc. All factors are possible. The ratio of solar modules and inverters also has a great impact on the power generation of the system.
The inverter only accounts for about 5% of the cost of the solar energy system. Reducing the investment of the inverter by over-provisioning of solar modules is not only not cost-effective, but also brings other problems. It is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as lighting conditions, installation site factors, component factors and inverter factors, etc.
When configuring components and inverters, pay attention to the following 4 points:
1. It is not possible to blindly emphasize the over-provisioning of solar panel to reduce the cost of the inverter. It is necessary to analyze the specific problems according to the actual situation.
2. Each MPPT loop of the inverter is also limited in current and cannot be over-configured.
3. The string voltage should be within the optimal voltage range of the inverter as much as possible. Both low voltage and high voltage will have a great impact on the power generation.
4. The maximum open-circuit voltage of the string cannot exceed the maximum voltage of the inverter.
